Self-love is an interesting topic to write about because I think it is often mistaken for Self-Indulgence. I believe Self-Love is actually quite the opposite. Being in my 20s, I’ve realized that a lot of self-love has to do with self-discipline and breaking self-destructive habits. It means re-parenting yourself, nourishing your body, and affirming yourself when nobody else will. Self-love sets the foundation for the rest of your relationships. Today I’m going to share a list of self-love activities that have helped me become a better version of myself. I’ve categorized them according to the 5 Love Languages book by Gary Chapman.
